The Fields family may move to the Michigan Wolverines.

Jessica Fields, the younger sister of former Ohio State quarterback and current Pittsburgh Steelers Justin Fields, announced her commitment to the Wolverines women’s basketball program.

Fields is a 6-foot-1 sophomore at Mount Paran Christian School in Kennesaw, Georgia. She chose the Wolverines over Georgetown and Northwestern. She has not disclosed an offer from Ohio State.

She expressed relief that the process was over, but also said it was fun to be the one being recruited.

“I was ready to finish my recruiting process,” Fields said, according to On3’s Talia Goodman. “I started really early in eighth grade, so it was a really long process. I got to watch both of my siblings go through it, so I always looked forward to when the coaches would finally focus on me during their visits instead of being the little sibling running around.”

Justin played two seasons at Ohio State after originally starting his career at Georgia. He was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year in 2019 and 2020 and won his only meeting with Michigan.

Fields’ other sister, Jaiden, played softball at Georgia. Jessica now gets her chance to shine in a power conference.

Michigan finished 20-14 in the 2023-24 season and lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
