Jon Cryer stopped by “Conan” on Monday night (November 11) and revealed that his whole life has been some kind of lie. At least his hair. While recalling his “spectacular mane of unruly magnificence” in the 1986 romantic comedy “Pretty in Pink” (he starred alongside Molly Ringwald), the 48-year-old actor revealed that his hair is “gone now” and that his current mane is just “an elaborate illusion.”

“It’s the work of several talented professionals making the most of four hairs,” he explained. “It’s really amazing what they can do. I don’t wear a piece – or anything – but it’s a long, complicated process that starts with things like shoe polish.”
“Basically they just paint – they take a kind of roller and wipe it along the top,” Cryer described while demonstrating how he painted his head. “You have to decide if you want to go all (John) Travolta and paint the whole front. And then they literally sprinkle powder from a salt shaker in. So that’s, like I said, four or five hairs.”
What happens if he gets caught in the rain?
“You’re out of luck,” Cryer said, laughing. “It will flatten out and you can let the lovely little rivulets run down. But luckily your eyebrows will run down the side.”
