Jonathan Bailey admits his hair was so damaged that…

Jonathan Bailey has revealed that his hair was on the set of Bridgerton.

In an interview with the Hollywood ReportersThe 36-year-old actor acknowledged the disadvantages of having to shoot three projects simultaneously, including his upcoming role as Fiyero in the Evil Adaptation, returned as Lord Antony in Bridgerton Season three and his Emmy-nominated role in Showtime’s Fellow travelers Series.

“The whole experience showed me how great producers can be,” he explained. “I don’t think I had a single day off for 32 days in a row.”

He continued: “I flew back and forth four times. I would go from (Fellow travelers Character) Hawks house in the 60s in the cottage, drive straight to the airport, sleep on the plane, drive straight to a Regency ball, sleep there, then straight to Evil to learn choreography. And at that time I was so late with the Evil much.”

“They had already started filming and it was incredible that Marc Platt pulled it off,” Bailey added. “There’s nothing like the feeling of figuring out your priorities, whether you need to learn the choreography today, work on your American accent or comb your hair for another performance. Bridgerton kiss.”

For Bailey, listening to music ultimately helped him transition from one character to another, despite having a crazy schedule.

“I probably wouldn’t rush through it again,” he said. “But I would say I was pretty good at rolling the hair through, and then I ended up having five days off and my hair was frozen from all the perming and straightening.”

“I had to cut my hair for Bridgerton and straighten my hair for (Fellow travelers). I was like a teenage beauty advert and I did everything with my hair. I remember going on holiday and coming to the beach and sitting in the sun and my hair was just floating like it was coming off. And I looked and felt completely crazy,” he added.

He told Naomi Watts how the costume team for “Wicked” dealt with his hair situation in Variety’s Actors on Actors Series in which he explains how his hair broke off while on vacation.

“Oh my God! How do you still have hair? Didn’t it fall out?” exclaimed the Oscar nominee.

“I had a big old toupee!” he revealed. “This is a big spoiler alert, but yes, it is a toupee. I’m in the choreography, so it flaps around!”

Watts was impressed by the Laurence Olivier Award winner’s ability to shoot in different countries with different settings and switch between different accents.

“There were moments where (all of those shows) bleed into each other in crazy ways,” Bailey recalled. “There’s something to be said for just being in freefall, not having enough time and just going by instinct. But it was progressive. I have some videos on my phone that made me cry: me as Tim, wearing a ’50s-style tie and jacket, and then in Nike sweatpants, learning the choreography (for Evil) during the lunch break.”

The first part of Evil hits theaters on November 27, and Bailey will soon join co-stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo to promote the film as its release date draws ever closer.
