Invoices

Bills quarterback Josh Allen said he was pleased that his colleagues were receiving the pay they deserve, adding that he was not concerned about his current contract.

Hear, everyone will have their day,“, Allen said of PFT. “I’m glad everyone gets what they’re worth, right? And I think as the game progresses and guys keep getting paid, the market is the market. I have no problem with where I am right now. And you know what, I had my big day a couple of years ago and I’m sure I’ll have it again one day. But I think the most important thing is the most important thing and that is to play football to the best of my ability and everything else will fall into place.

Dolphins

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was impressed by RB in the fourth round Jaylen Wright because the newcomer stood out in a talented RB room.

“He acclimatized pretty quickly,” Tagovailoa said of Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk: “I think that was one of the first times I can really say I saw his personality running the ball. He runs the ball and then throws one of those balls – I thought, OK, he’s got some flair. And I think he’s still trying to size up guys, he’s still trying to size up the offense. I think once he gets comfortable and gets comfortable, we’ll all see his personality blossom.”

  • When asked how the Dolphins’ offense can improve this season, HC Michael McDaniel replied that he wants new players to learn from experienced teammates: “Repetition is key, especially targeted repetition…The fastest way people learn how to do something is to watch a teammate do it right. The more elite reps we can get on tape, the faster the process will go.” (Marcel Louis-Jacques)

Patriots

The Patriots are in the middle of a QB competition between veterans Jacoby Brissett and first-round players Drake May. New England HC Jerod Mayo said Maye would start if he was the best option for the team and outlined what he liked about Maye’s mental state.

“For me, competition is always the most important thing, in all areas,” Mayo said via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk: “Even if Drake beats Jacoby (Brissett), he’s earned that role. … If he’s ready and better than Jacoby, then he’ll play; he’ll start.”

“One of the reasons we drafted Drake was because you could tell from the interview process that he’s a balanced guy. I think you can see that from the stands. This guy doesn’t get too high and doesn’t get too low. He was like that in college. He was probably like that as a kid. He’s still like that today, which is a good thing for a quarterback. These guys have to keep their composure, get the call to the huddle and get the other guys out of the huddle, get them ready to go. In my eyes, he’s always been like that.”
