Juvenile claims Lil Wayne is the greatest rapper of all time

Juvenile is a legend. His third album, 400 degreeswas certified quadruple platinum and helped establish Cash Money as a brand. He was the first member of the Hot Boys to truly break through as a solo star, paving the way for the likes of Mannie Fresh and, of course, Lil Wayne. Juvenile and Fresh recently The Breakfast Club to talk about their upcoming Hot Boys reunion and they decided to stand up for their Cash Money brother. Juve told Charlamagne tha God and the rest of the Breakfast Club crew that Lil Wayne is the best rapper of all time.

The whole topic came up courtesy of Charlamagne. The host asked if Lil Wayne is finally getting the recognition he deserves from fans as a lyricist. Juvenile outdid him, declaring Weezy the best to ever pick up a mic. “I’ve been around him, that’s my guy,” he said. “I’ve seen his whole process, just seen Wayne’s whole evolution and where he’s at right now.” Juvenile isn’t alone in that opinion. Kendrick Lamar, the rapper many believe is a GOAT candidate himself, sang Weezy’s praises in 2022.

Juvenile praised Lil Wayne’s development as an artist

“Lil Wayne is the greatest,” said Lamar The Desirous. “Not just because of his music, but the culture that he put behind it.” The Compton icon also gave Juvenile his flowers, as both men were crucial to Cash Money’s success. “It was a big part of what he talked about, so we always appreciated Lil Wayne,” he explained. “Juvenile too. And yeah, it’s the influence of them, man. To be a part of that, like he was a part of it years later, it’s just a great feeling.”

Juvenile and Lil Wayne are on good terms despite the apparent confusion between them. The former claimed that a Hot Boys album was in the works. However, the latter claimed to have no idea that an album was being recorded despite being a member. Wayne continued Not just football with Cam Heyward in June and was completely confused when the host asked him about the Hot Boys reunion. “Shit, you just told me,” the rapper joked. “When are they coming? When are the boys coming? I have to go and see that. I’d love to see that.”
