Cuoco rose to worldwide fame with her role as aspiring actress Penny in The Big Bang Theory. The successful US sitcom follows two socially awkward physicists as they try to find their way in the world outside the science lab.

The actress has since played the lead role in the thriller “The Flight Attendant,” for which she was nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe.

The HBO series is about Cassie Bowden, who wakes up after a night of drinking and finds a dead body next to her. Instead of calling the police, the flight attendant decides to clean up the crime scene herself.

Following the release of the second season in 2022, Cuoco revealed how difficult she found filming the sequel.

“I’ve done so much light-hearted comedy… I’m not the kind of actress who gets too caught up in anything,” she told CinemaBlend. “I can usually keep my life separate. I think the weirdest year in television for me was probably the second season of Flight Attendant.”

She continued, “There was so much going on in my personal life. I didn’t take that home with me, but… that character was so messed up and I personally felt so messed up. In some ways, it felt like I was depressed 24/7.”
