The Chiefs return most of the core players from their back-to-back Super Bowl teams, notably quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce on offense, as well as hulking defensive lineman Chris Jones. Kansas City also drafted talented wide receiver Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and focused each of its first three picks on the offensive side of the ball. The Chiefs finished 11-6 last season and defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 53.

The Bears are looking to finish a preseason undefeated, which builds excitement for the season and for Williams, the former USC quarterback selected No. 1 in the 2024 NFL Draft. Williams and Mahomes have been compared numerous times for their athleticism, creativity and multi-threat skills, which only fuels optimism for a potential major rebound for the Bears. Chicago went 7-10 last season, began the year with four straight losses and was 2-7 after nine weeks.
