The secret behind Kanye West’s super-fresh look has been revealed: The US rapper apparently makes sure to get his hair cut every day and pays $500 each time.
Wow – who would have thought that cutting your hair for a day would be so expensive, right?
These claims come from Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, who toured with RiRi and Kanye for a month in 2010. Ron admitted he was amazed at how much effort Kanye puts into his hair.
Speaking to Heat magazine, he explained: “It’s crazy – Kanye gets his hair cut every day.
“He pays his barber $500 each time. I don’t understand how much hair is removed, Kanye just loves the fresh look.”
The lucky hairdresser is Chicago-based Ibn Jasper, who first met Yeezus twenty years ago.
The star apparently begged Ibn to move to New York in 2003 after being sorely disappointed by hairdressers there. Ibn told us exactly how to tell if Kanye is having a bad hair day: “If he was photographed wearing that orange hat, it meant he had gotten a crappy haircut in NYC.

“He asked me to move to NYC and I told him, ‘If you can pay me what I make at the store, I’ll move.'”
Well, at least Kanye kept his end of the bargain, right?
Meanwhile, a satirist going by the name Saint Hoax broke the internet today when he created a time-lapse video exploiting Kim Kardashian’s love of contouring to turn the 38-year-old rapper into his wife.
Honestly, we wouldn’t be surprised if Kanye saw the pictures and demanded a makeup artist for $500 a day in addition to his hairdresser…
