Kate Beckinsale shows off her “strawberry whipped cream” hairstyle at the Pomeranian party

Kate Beckinsale has a brand new hairstyle.

The 51-year-old actress took her dog to a Pomeranian party on August 18, where she showed off a new bubblegum pink hairstyle.

In photos she shared on Instagram on August 19, Beckinsale’s long pink hair, held back by a black headband, was clearly visible. Her hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos also shared a photo of Beckinsale’s new look, praising his work and calling the color “STRAWBERRY whipped cream.”

The pro noted that he used L’Oréal Paris Feria Smokey Pink for her locks and also called in hairstylist Rob Scheppy. Whether Beckinsale’s hair is extensions, a wig, or her real hair is the real secret. Either way, the strawberry whipped cream shade is the perfect, whimsical color for the end of summer.

Beckinsale is all about making a statement on Instagram – especially with her look.

In July, she wore a swimsuit in a post that read, “I didn’t ask for your opinion.” The custom piece was made for her by the brand Mua Mua. She wore the swimsuit with a large hat and posed coolly by the pool.

Mua Mua shared the photos on his own page, prompting one user to comment: “I don’t have much of an opinion here but wonder why all these Instagram posts if you don’t care about people’s opinions.”

The brand responded: “Kate was being bullied online so I made her this swimsuit.”

The eye-catching swimsuit is likely a response to the criticism Beckinsale has faced over her appearance during her recent health scare. Last month, she revealed she had “burned a hole” in her esophagus, causing her to vomit “large amounts of blood.” She spent several weeks in hospital earlier this year.
