Katie Holmes runs errands with wet hair after dropping off her lookalike daughter Suri at college

Katie Holmes was out and about in New York City on Tuesday after dropping her daughter Suri Cruise off at college for the weekend.

The 45-year-old actress wore wet hair and a nearly see-through black button-down top and matching black pants while shopping.

She combined the casual cut with red ballerina flats.

Holmes appeared without makeup and carried two shopping bags on her arm during her trip.

To complete her look, she also chose several small accessories, including a pair of large square sunglasses, some layered gold chains and a pair of gold earrings.

Holmes was spotted helping her daughter Suri – whom she has with ex-husband Tom Cruise – move into her dorm over the weekend as she began studying at Carnegie Mellon University.

Tom was not present on the big move-in day. However, he can be seen in pictures landing a helicopter at London’s Battersea Heliport after his week-long holiday in the Mediterranean.

Over the weekend, Holmes was seen with her daughter Suri (pictured above) carrying boxes on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University, where the 18-year-old is set to begin her college career. BACKGROUND

The “Mission: Impossible” actor has not had a proper relationship with his daughter for most of his life.

“Proud” mom Holmes, on the other hand, has a very close bond with Suri. She recently told Town & Country Magazine that she will miss their “close proximity.”

However, she is “happy” for her only child.

“I remember that age, that time of beginnings,” Holmes said. “It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think of it that way.”

She also joked that she would spend more time with her friends from the book club.

“The members of my book club will be annoyed when they hear from me,” she said, laughing. “I’ll say, ‘Let’s meet once a week.'”

Suri – who recently took the name “Suri Noelle” in honor of her mother – graduated from LaGuardia High School in June.

She announced her college choice in May in a TikTok posted by one of her classmates. The video has since been deleted.
