Katie Price was arrested at Heathrow Airport after failing to appear in court.

Price, 46, from Surrey, was arrested at the airport upon her return to the UK.

The former glamour model was remanded in custody at a police station in west London and is due to appear before the Royal Courts of Justice on Friday.

The Metropolitan Police said: “A 46-year-old woman from Surrey was arrested at Heathrow Airport at 7.45pm on Thursday 8 August for failing to appear in court.

“She was remanded in custody at a west London police station and is due to appear before the Royal Courts of Justice tomorrow, Friday 9 August.”

A warrant had previously been issued for her arrest because she failed to appear at a hearing related to her bankruptcy.

Price was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March of this year.

At a hearing in February, she was ordered to pay 40 percent of her monthly income from the erotic website OnlyFans to the trustee over the next three years in connection with her first bankruptcy.

In March, it was declared bankrupt for the second time after failing to pay a tax debt of over £750,000 to HM Revenue and Customs.

Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton said Price had received “very clear warnings” that she would have to attend the July 30 hearing.

Price was to face questions about her finances before the specialist bankruptcy court in London from her lawyers, who represented the trustee of her two bankruptcies.

At an earlier hearing, a judge said the former glamour model risked arrest if she failed to attend further court dates, adding that if she could not appear, evidence would have to be presented.

However, the court heard there were reports that Price had travelled to Turkey.

In issuing the arrest warrant, Judge Burton said Price had “absented from today’s hearing” and had provided no explanation for her absence.

She said: “In my view it is necessary for the court to issue a warrant for the arrest of Ms Price.

“She has no real excuse for not attending the hearing today.”

The judge continued: “The reason for her absence today is irrelevant.”

Judge Burton said an arrest warrant was not issued “frivolously,” saying Price had merely cooperated “piecemeal” and failed to provide the “most basic information” relating to her bankruptcies.
