Kendrick Lamar fans notice he reacted in advance to Drake’s “No Face”

Yesterday, Drake proved to the world that he’s not done yet by unveiling three new tracks on his Burner Instagram account. The first was a solo track called “Circadian Rhythm,” followed by “Supersoak (SOD)” without Lil Yachty. Finally, he released “No Face,” a collaboration with Playboi Carti. Naturally, the surprise release sparked huge reactions on social media from fans and critics.

As listeners parse the Toronto hitmaker’s lyrics, many point out obvious jabs at Kendrick Lamar. In “Circadian Rhythm,” for example, Drake rails against avoiding “funeral dates.” Some believe this could be a reference to Kendrick’s Juneteenth Pop Out show in LA, which fans online jokingly referred to as a funeral for Drizzy. The song’s title is also used in Kendrick’s second Drake diss, “6:16 In LA.” It’s touted as a follow-up to his 2013 song “The Language,” which was widely viewed as a response to Kendrick’s “Control” verse.

Fans analyze Drake’s lyrics “No Face”

Apparently Kendrick hasn’t hit back yet, although he may have done so before. @AndresWrites pointed out some of Drake’s “No Face” lyrics last night on X, as well as a diss of Kendrick’s “Meet The Grahams.” On “No Face,” Drake says his therapist gave him 30 days’ notice. On “Meet The Grahams,” Dot said therapy wasn’t enough for Drake and that he should strip away his ego with ayahuasca instead.

However, Kendrick is far from the only rapper Drake attacked on “No Face,” according to his fans. Listeners believe he warned everyone who joined the 20-on-1 battle by rapping, “I’m just so happy that n***as that were jealous and kept that shit to themselves finally got to show it/ I’m over the moon, yeah, see ya soon, boys.” What do you think of Drake dropping three new tracks last night?
