Kody’s bangs in season 19 are not his best look

Kody’s curly hair may have had its day

The trailer of TLC for Sisterwives Season 19 promises an explosive new season. Meri and Janelle move forward with their divorce and finally confront Kody’s childish behavior. Christine, who has already moved on from her marriage to Kody, introduces her new partner, David Woolley. Kody and Robyn must rebuild their marriage to cope with the loss of their sister wives. Since it’s a time of change, Kody’s hair could also use a freshen up.

The look appears in several scenes and was most likely styled this way intentionally.

The Sisterwives The trailer for season 19 confirms that Kody will continue to wear his hair in tight blonde curls, as he has done for many seasons. Kody often has short curls at the front of his hairline that look like bangs. Kody traditionally wore his hair neatly parted in the middle, but his bangs fell straight across his forehead. The look appears in several scenes, meaning it was most likely styled intentionally. During Kody’s tense discussions with his ex-wives, it was difficult to focus on the serious subject matter because his bangs were the center of attention.

Remember Kody Brown’s man bun?

Kody aimed for a youthful look with his updo

Before he fully embraced his locks, Kody sported a very different hairstyle. He wore his hair tightly pulled back and tied in a high bun while shaving the sides and bottom of his head. The hairstyle made Kody look sporty and youthful, but also seemed like an attempt to be cool.

Kody’s man bun didn’t look bad, but it emphasized his immature nature. Buns are most popular among younger men. Kody may be best known for his role as a father and husband, but he has a habit of acting childish around the younger generation. He is easily distracted when opportunities to play arise, from wrestling with his sons to starting a bromance with his sons-in-law. Kody’s bun was another attempt to appear younger than he was, and it hinted at his childlike personality.

Kody wore his bun during several notable scenes, including those surrounding the family’s haphazard move from Las Vegas to Flagstaff. Likewise, Kody wore a high ponytail at his friend’s wedding, which caused a dispute within the family as his presence violated the strict social distancing protocols that Kody himself had enforced. Unfortunately, Kody’s updos became associated with his selfish, crazy behavior. Kody forced his family to move and distance themselves from each other. These decisions backfired on him as they ultimately drove his family apart.

Kody Brown had gentle blowouts

His Keith Urban phase was strange

Although he is best known for his curls, Kody has also experimented with straight hair. In the first seasons of SisterwivesKody’s hair was straight but frizzy. However, Kody is known for his extremes and his hairstyles are no exception. In one comedic scene, Kody straightened his hair to look like Meri’s celebrity crush Keith Urban. Unfortunately, Kody’s straight hairstyle ended up looking a lot like Meri’s too. As the couple enjoyed a date together, their matching hairstyles stole the show. Kody’s ultra-straight hair wasn’t particularly flattering as the country singer suits this hairstyle best.

He is constantly focused on himself and fails to see the bigger picture.

Considering Kody has experimented with every hairstyle imaginable, it’s hard to say what his natural hair looks like. Despite his obvious penchant for hair gel, Kody’s hair seems to have a natural curl. His locks would look better if they weren’t over-styled and allowed to retain their imperfections. Kody’s hair reflects his high-maintenance personality. He habitually makes everything his own and fails to consider the bigger picture. If Kody is ready to leave his ego behind and stop putting himself first, updating his hair would be a fitting first step.

What awaits Kody Brown in season 19 of Sister Wives?

Kody has recently become monogamous

Kody is facing a major reckoning in Sisterwives Season 19. For the first time, viewers will see Kody cope with the end of three marriages. When Christine left Kody, he blamed her and played the victim. But with three breakups at once, Kody may be forced to take responsibility for his role in ending the marriages. Although the trailer suggests Kody will continue to deny any wrongdoing, he will likely have to ask himself at some point if he was the common denominator.

Another interesting element of Sisterwives Season 19 revolves around Kody’s relationship with Robyn. Kody claims to have found true love with Robyn, but their relationship has its flaws. The trailer shows the tension between the couple as Robyn has to pick up the pieces of Kody’s failed marriages. Robyn insists that she wanted a polygamous marriage, and now that she can only be monogamous, Kody may not be enough to make her happy. If Robyn is truly grieving the loss of her sister wives, she will find it difficult not to blame Kody for the situation they are in.

Sisterwives

Season 19 premieres on Sunday, September 15 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.

Kody’s role in Sisterwives has evolved from a loving husband and father to a vengeful, manipulative villain. Fittingly, his hairstyle has evolved as well. Kody’s different looks each embody an element of his personality. Perhaps it would be wise for Kody to start fresh with a new hairstyle as he reevaluates his failed experience with polygamy.
