We were starting to really like Kylie Jenner’s turquoise dip-dye hairstyle. It seemed like the perfect compromise to pull off the pastel trend for darker hair – it didn’t do damage to her whole head, it looked great against her skin tone, and in certain lighting it went from teal to extremely bright. All in all, it was a pretty stunning look.

But unfortunately, wild hues are hard to maintain when you’re a busy actress, author and reality TV star. Perhaps that’s why Kylie debuted another new look this weekend: her natural hair color. She even (intentionally?) quoted the late Amy Winehouse in her Instagram caption, saying she was “back to black.”

And while hosting the MuchMusic Awards in Toronto last night with her sister Kendall, she also traded in her typical tousled texture for a much smoother, shinier blow-dry.
Somehow, both colors look amazing on Kylie. But if we’ve learned anything from the crazy world of celebrity hair color, it’s that nothing stays the same for very long. So, we’re sticking with black for now. Who knows what next week will bring?
