Large Cleveland-based company posted the highest stock gain in Ohio last week

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Only 11 large Ohio companies saw their stocks rise last week, one fewer than the week before. Five of them are from the Cleveland area, including the company that secured the top spot.

The largest Ohio company with the most growth in the previous week was Parker-Hannifin, a manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems. Its stock value rose 9.9 percent, or $51.30 per share.

The other major companies in the Cleveland area that reported growth last week were Eaton Corporation, KeyCorp, Progressive and Transdigm Group.

Four companies reported growth for at least two weeks in a row: Lancaster Colony, Procter & Gamble, Progressive and Welltower.

Here’s the list of the nine highest-gaining companies in Ohio, by percentage, courtesy of IEX Cloud and Stacker. Stocks are sorted by percentage price change from Aug. 2 through Friday.

The listing is limited to companies that are predominantly based in Ohio, are on the Russell 3000 membership list and have a market capitalization of over $5 billion as of April 14.
