LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant team up for rare signed Olympic card

LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant just led the US team to a gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. But their partnership doesn’t seem to be over yet. An extremely rare card commemorating the trio’s time together in Paris and bearing the signatures of the three future Basketball Hall of Famers will be in the possession of one lucky buyer of the product from trading card company Topps.

“This card is a tribute to the incredible moment we witnessed during the Olympics when three of the greatest active basketball players took home the gold medal together,” said Clay Luraschi, senior vice president of product at Topps, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

“This card is special because there’s the regular version and then there’s a signed version. There have been many different autograph cards in the history of basketball trading cards, but this is the first time these three players have signed the same card. That makes it very unique.”

Any customer who purchases “the basic card of the stars from the company” is incredibly lucky to have the exact card in question sent to them, which is one to one.

The base card was already available for sale last Saturday – the same day that LeBron James and Co. The Blues to win another gold medal for Team USA in the men’s basketball tournament, which is held every four years. Those who want a chance to win a signed card can purchase the base card — priced at $11.99 — until Tuesday at 6:20 p.m. ET.

Because of its rarity, the event it commemorates, and the autographs, the Triple Auto card is expected to fetch a fortune if it ever goes on sale.

“I think the card is easily worth six figures,” Ken Goldin, founder and CEO of Goldin Auctions, told ESPN.

“However, the fact that it is not a card (drawn from the pack) limits its value.”

LeBron James, Curry and Durant may never play on the same Olympic team again, which would also likely add to the value of the triple car. While the door is still open for the three legends to be part of the U.S. squad at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, there’s a chance that at least one of them won’t make Team USA in four years due to Father Time.

James will be 43 years old at the next Olympic Games, Curry 40 and Durant 38.

“I can only afford the plain, simple card. It would be great to get the signature card, but still, it would be pretty damn cool to have a card with three goats on it,” @jdc0529 chimed in.
