Freedom Head football trainer Jamey Chadwell And App status have serious disputes dating back to his time at Coastal Carolina. The Mountaineers absolutely hate him and he is not afraid of conflict.
His latest dig at his former conference rival will only fuel the fire!
Chadwell coached the Chanticleers from 2019-2022, completely turning around an irrelevant program that only advanced to the FBS level in 2016 and went 11-1 in 2020, 11-2 in 2021 and 9-3 in 2022.
The last three years of his five-year tenure at Coastal have been an overwhelming success.
Chadwell beat App State at home in 2020, lost on the road in 2021 and won again at home in 2022. The three-game series between the two Sun Belt Conference foes was intense. Neither fan base was kind to opposing players. It didn’t help that Chanticleers linebacker Teddy Gallagher called the Mountaineers “bums” and described Boone as “stinky, smelly and cold.”
It goes without saying that App State fans don’t like Jamey Chadwell because of his time at Coastal. They are eagerly awaiting his return to North Carolina with the Flames on September 28th – games are already sold out.
Not only is this game a premier matchup between two of the best G4 programs in the country, but the home team is excited about the visiting head coach. Gallagher is also employed by Liberty, so there’s even more excitement!
Jamey Chadwell is already stoking the coals.
Last week, a disturbing video leaked from fall camp in Boone, showing an unnamed defensive player ripping the helmet off his teammate’s head and violently hitting him back.
There are also said to have been some skirmishes during training in Lynchburg.
Chadwell was asked what happened during his press conference. The head coach explained that there would be a little fighting, which is a healthy thing. And then he took a swipe at App State.
That’s what happens when you bump into each other a lot.
