Lil Wayne re-releases Drake’s new song, dispelling rumors of tension between the rap icons

Fans of Lil Wayne and Drake, one of the most iconic rap duos of the 21st century, can breathe a sigh of relief.

On August 26, Lil Wayne subtly showed his support for his protégé by reposting a link to Drake’s new single “No Face.”

Although it may seem like a small gesture, it is the first public confession from the two rappers in weeks, easing concerns about their relationship.

Drake recently released three new songs on August 23rd and Lil Wayne’s decision to share one of them on social media was seen as a positive sign by fans.

This came after a period of uncertainty in Drake’s relationships in the industry, during which he apparently fell out with several big names.

However, Lil Wayne seemed to remain loyal despite some confusing actions that left fans doubting the status of their friendship.

In recent weeks, Wayne has been seen collaborating with artists such as Rick Ross, who have had tensions with Drake in the past.

He was also spotted wearing a chain from XO, a brand associated with The Weeknd, another artist with whom Drake has a strained relationship.

These actions, along with some cryptic lines in Wayne’s verse on Cordae’s “Saturday Mornings,” fueled speculation that there was a feud between the two rap giants.

However, Lil Wayne’s repost of Drake’s song seems to disprove these theories. Wayne has previously defended Drake and, during an appearance on the Richard Sherman Podcast earlier this year, attributed some of the criticism directed at him to colorism.
