Time Bandits Star Lisa Kudrow recently shared that Taika Waititi sent her a DM to ask if she would star in the Apple TV+ series. According to the former Friends Star, it didn’t take much convincing to convince her to take part in the fantasy adventure project.

I had met him once at a friend’s house and was a huge fan of his. I only met him briefly and then got this (message) saying, ‘Hey, could you imagine working in New Zealand?'” she recalls. “I thought to myself, ‘I’ve always wanted to go to New Zealand. It depends what it is.’ And He said, “Oh, Jemaine Clement and I wrote a show that was on Time Bandits.’ And I just thought, ‘How could I say no to that?’ Taika is one thing, but that’s a lot. And Jemaine Clement too? For me, that’s a comedy genius. Of course I want to do it. And it’s for everyone? There’s nothing disturbing or dark or too subversive. Yes, I’m in.”
