MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) resumed full operations on Tuesday morning after being partially suspended for restoration work on Monday night.
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said that as of 7 a.m. on August 20, all trains and stations from Recto to Antipolo and vice versa are operational.
“We have taken over the entire line operation of LRT Line 2 and carried out the repair of our overhead line. “The train ride was carried out by the Antipolo division to control it,” the LRTA said in a Facebook post.
(LRT Line 2 has resumed full service after the repair of the damaged overhead line. Train service now runs from Antipolo station to Recto station and back.)

Due to repair work on a damaged overhead line between two stations, train services were partially suspended from around 8 p.m. on August 19.
“The temporary service of the LRT-2 has been connected to the Katipunan overhead line at Santolan Station. “The train is close from Recto Station to Cubao Station,” the LRTA said on Monday.
(The LRT-2 is temporarily operating a makeshift service between Katipunan and Santolan stations due to a damaged overhead line. The train runs from Recto station to Cubao station and back.)
