Man is thrown from plane because hair transplant goes wrong and his scalp leaks

There’s a bad hair day and then there’s this.

Last Monday (August 19), 27-year-old Eugenio Ernesto Hernandez-Garnie boarded a flight from Miami to Las Vegas with his partner Yusleydis Blanca Loyola, 32.

The problems began when the couple boarded the plane and crew members noticed that Hernandez-Garnier was bleeding from his head and had a “bloody bandage” around his wound, Local 10 reported.

Miami-Dade police said in a news release that Hernandez-Garnier was asked by flight attendants to wipe up the blood and change his bandages.

However, the man told them that he did not have a clean plaster.

After this initial interaction, the crew asked the passenger to deplane “multiple times” due to concerns about “contamination from bodily fluids” due to a hair transplant as well as his general health.

Hernandez-Garnier and Loyola reportedly refused to leave the plane at this point, reportedly saying, “If they can’t fly, no one else can.”

The couple were repeatedly warned that they would be arrested for “trespassing,” police said, but they decided to stay on the plane anyway.

“After briefly resisting being restrained, they were subsequently arrested,” the police report states.

Officials further stated that all passengers on board were forced to return to the terminal because the couple refused to leave the plane.

After everyone was back on board, the flight was delayed.

After their arrest, the couple was taken to Jackson West Medical Center in Florida, where Hernandez-Garnier was examined.

They were later taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center for questioning.

Hernandez-Garnier and Loyola are now charged with trespassing despite a warning and resisting an officer without the use of violence.

American Airlines has since confirmed the incident and stated that the flight took off late Monday evening only early Tuesday morning (August 20).

In a statement to The Independent, an airline spokesperson said: “During boarding of American Airlines flight 1858 on August 19, operating from Miami (MIA) to Las Vegas (LAS), two passengers engaged in disruptive behavior and disregarded crew instructions.”

“The police responded and removed both customers from the plane.

“We thank our crew members for their professionalism and apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”

The LADbible Group previously reached out to both American Airlines and the Miami-Dade Police Department for further comment.
