Marshfield Fair is one of the activities on the South Coast this weekend

No matter which direction you go on the South Coast this weekend, there’s a fair or festival happening nearby.

Hallmark events like the Marshfield Fair are already underway, and for those who haven’t made it to the Marshfield Fairgrounds yet, there are still ways to save on admission, so be sure to check out our tips for saving.

Also back is the annual Plymouth Waterfront Festival, which promises to be as big and varied as ever, with vendors and food trucks offering something for everyone, as if the waterfront alone was reason enough to get out for the day.

If you want to have fun with a good cause, head to Hull for the Kerry Jon Walker Fund’s end-of-summer party. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to helping humanity and supporting those affected by poverty, offering music and fun as well as African and Navajo arts and crafts.

Hockey fans should head to Plymouth on Sunday, where the Bruins Fan Tour will be stopping by with all kinds of collectibles, merchandise and Bruins history.

And for those who want something a little more unusual, The Trustees of Reservation are celebrating the end of summer with a concert at World’s End in Weymouth.

Plymouth Chamber of Commerce’s annual events include a duck race, live entertainment, an arts and crafts show with over 200 exhibitors, local nonprofits, Motor Head’s annual Cruise-In car show and more.

When: 4pm–8pm Saturday, August 24, whatever the weather

Where: Sunset Point Camp 2, 10th Street, Hull

Tickets/Admission: $35 (advance purchase), $40 at the door. Free for children under 12.

The nonprofit Kerry Jon Walker Fund is dedicated to helping humanity and supporting people affected by poverty. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Fund’s mission, including youth mission trips that support sustainable programs to improve health, education and economic opportunities for those in need.

Attendees can purchase unique African and Navajo gifts and bid on unique art and various goods at an international market.

The day includes a petting zoo, entertainment by World Music Award winners Kalifa & Koliba, catering by Mae’s of Marshfield and a beer and wine bar.

Tickets and auction items can be paid for on-site by cash, check or credit card.

Bruins Fan Fest Tour comes to Plymouth

When: Sunday, August 25, 12:00 to 16:00

Where: Plymouth Memorial Hall, 83 Court St., Plymouth

Fans of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in hockey activities and games, explore interactive exhibits, purchase Bruins merchandise and participate in the NESN play-by-play kiosk. Throughout the tour, fans will have the opportunity to pick up giveaways at several on-site partner booths and interact with PWHL Boston in Lowell at their home arena. Boston Bruins BFit will also be on-site to offer kid-friendly fitness activities. Members of the Bruins organization are expected to participate in the festivities at each Fan Fest Tour stop.

During the tour, children enrolled in the Bruins Academy Learn to Play program presented by Pure Hockey will have the opportunity to receive on-site gear and be outfitted with brand new hockey equipment valued at $550 (retail price).

The annual fair features rides, games, live music, food, gardening and farming attractions, as well as tractor pulls and demolition derbies.

As in the past, the fair will feature special days for Marshfield residents, seniors and children, as well as veterans and active military personnel.

The North River Blues Festival is scheduled for August 24 and 25.

The fair will feature the Pool Party Pooches, a touring show featuring the Dynamo Dogs, who will perform agility exercises and dock diving. Two new traveling entertainers, juggler Janoah Bailin and magician Darren Yong, will walk the grounds and impress visitors with their talents.

Summer farewell concert at World’s End Reservation in Hingham

When: Doors open at 4:30pm, show starts at 5:00pm.

Where: Summit of Planter’s Hill, World’s End Reserve, Marlin’s Lane, Hingham

Tickets/Admission: Pre-registration is required. No tickets will be sold on-site. Admission is $60 per car, or $48 per car for Trustee members.

The Trustees of Reservations host an end-of-summer concert at World’s End.

The Birch Swart Band will perform at the open-air concert.

The top of Planter’s Hill is the destination for music, food, local craft beers, and an incredible sunset over the Boston skyline. Grab a meal from KC’s Curbside Bistro, Tambo’s Kitchen, and Just the Dip, and enjoy ice cream from Ellie’s Treats. Stellwagen and Break Rock Brewing serve craft beers.
