Sadie Sink gives a cryptic hint about Max Mayfield’s current status Stranger Things Season 5. Introduced in Season 2, Max impressed the main group with her gaming skills but was ultimately drawn into the horrific events in the Upside Down. After being possessed and losing her brother Billy (Dacre Montgomery), Max became the target of Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) and was left severely injured and in a coma Stranger Things Season 5.
Sink and the Duffer brothers suggest that Max may still play an active role in Stranger Things Season 5 in conversation with diversity. Will Max recover in Stranger Things? Season 5?
Max was in a bad condition
Max’s final fate in Stranger Things Season 4 was one of the most heartbreaking endings of the season. Although a major tragedy was avoided, Max’s arms and legs were broken and she was blind. She barely survived thanks to the intervention of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). Despite her friend’s miraculous powers, however, Max’s wounds go far beyond physical scars. When Eleven tried to reach Max in the mysterious void at her bedside, Max was nowhere to be found.
Although Max is confined to her hospital room on Earth, her consciousness may still wander through the void.
While there are currently few answers, Stranger Things Filming for Season 5 has hinted at a return to Max’s hospital bed. Production has returned to the hospital set, suggesting that Max is still physically confined to her bed even after a potential time jump. Therefore, it’s clear that despite the lack of loved ones in Hawkins, Max’s friends and family have not given up hope and are continuing her treatment. Although Max may be confined to her hospital room on Earth, her consciousness may still be wandering the void.
