Maya Jama is incredibly versatile when it comes to her hair. Although she has dabbled in blonde and red, it’s not the color where she really stretches her spectrum. Straight, wavy, curly, blow-dried; she moves effortlessly between different styles and textures and we’ve never seen one that didn’t suit her. But her natural curls will always hold a very special place in our hair hearts.
While currently soaking up the South African sun filming the first season of Love Island All Stars, the presenter shared a few photos of how she spends her days when she’s not working. With Maya only appearing in one or two episodes a week, she seems to have quite a bit of free time and it looks idyllic. Wearing minimal makeup and showing off her natural curls, she captioned the snaps, “wholesome girl diaries.”
I ride my bike, read books, sing the Kooks; it’s basically my eighth-grade summer. Except my curls don’t look nearly as good. Maybe that’s because I didn’t know about Maya’s hot egg hair mask… no, really.
The star has spoken before about how her fans seemed to be divided in their love of hair: girls were for curls and guys were for straight hair *major eye roll*. But in this case, this carousel is a hundredth for the girls, as we can see her locks up in a ponytail, sleek and defined, fluffed and voluminous.
