McDonald’s new collectible cups officially launched on Tuesday, adding another nostalgia kick that goes beyond the popular burger chain and includes things like Beanie Babies, Hello Kitty and more.
Earlier this month, the burger chain introduced the “Collector’s Meal,” which includes a choice of breakfast or lunch items plus one of six collectible cups inspired by the chain’s connection to iconic toys, movies, pop culture and more.
“Over the years, our fans have developed a special connection with McDonald’s collectibles,” McDonald’s said in a press release. “From Happy Meal toys to merchandise, games and mugs, these keepsakes are more than just things – they evoke core memories of some of our favorite McDonald’s moments.”

The mugs will focus on “classic memorabilia” of McDonald’s collaborations over the years, dating back to the 1980s. According to the chain, the collectible mugs are designed to give fans a “memory they can hold in their hands.”
Here is a breakdown of the six trophies according to the press release:
- Barbie™ and Hot Wheels™: The design adds a fresh touch to popular Mattel toys that inspire our imagination
- Beanie Babies: Paying homage to the teen beanie trend of the 90’s, this mug features some of the era’s most popular characters, like Golden Arches Bear (2004).
- Coca-Cola: Stay cool with a modern take on classic Coca-Cola designs that celebrate iconic collaborations with McDonald’s over the years
- Hello Kitty and Peanuts: Whether relaxing on the beach or going on big adventures, the Hello Kitty and Peanuts mug embodies the joy of being with our best friends – and the McDonald’s collectibles that remind us of those moments.
- Shrek, Jurassic Park and Minions: Inspired by the iconic film franchises, this mug highlights unforgettable scenes and characters we’ve loved for generations, along with the collectibles that brought them to life.
- McDonald’s: The Grimace Glass. Boo Buckets. Funny Fry Friends. Our fans have fallen in love with these collectibles since the beginning, so it’s only right that we show our love to these iconic keepsakes by putting them in the spotlight on their own mug.
How do you get a collector’s cup and what does it include?
The cups are part of a McDonald’s “Collector’s Meal” that will be available throughout the day. Each meal includes one cup and the choice of a Sausage McMuffin with egg sandwich, hash brown and hot coffee during breakfast hours, or 10 Chicken McNuggets or Big Mac with fries and a soft drink during the rest day.

The new food options were introduced on Tuesday and will only be available for a limited time, the press release said.

The price for the “Collector’s Meal” is set individually from restaurant to restaurant, a spokesman said, and can vary depending on location.
The new menu is part of a wider range of changes to McDonald’s menu and efforts to lure customers back into restaurants. The changes also include a $5 menu that will be available throughout the summer.
