It’s time to start preparing for the 2024 Syracuse Orange football season. We’re going through the roster to take a closer look at each Syracuse player as we get to know many new faces to usher in the Fran Brown era.
We are now wrapping up with the latest summer additions, so let’s meet…
Name: Adam Boeheim
Position: Offensive line
Year: First semester
Height: 1.93m
Weight: 235 pounds
Hometown: Carmel, New York (State)
Secondary school: Carmel
Statistics for 2023:
Played center, guard and defensive line for Carmel. He was credited with 31 pancake blocks in 13 games for a Carmel team that made it to the NY State AA finals where they lost to CBA.
Forecasts for 2024:
While Boeheim will need to gain weight to play at that level, he’s an interesting prospect because he’s also played attack for Carmel’s lacrosse team. If he can maintain some of that athleticism while getting bigger and stronger, he could be on the field at Syracuse before the end of his career.
How did he get here?: Joined the Orange as a walk-on. I’m not sure if he’ll try the same thing with lacrosse in the spring.
What do the recruitment sites say?: No ranking
Interesting nugget of interest: Adam is actually related to the Boeheims and if he puts his jersey up for sale, they will probably do pretty well,
