Memphis Grizzlies announce date and time for annual open practice

The Memphis Grizzlies have announced plans for their annual open practice this season

The event will take place on October 6th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at FedExForum. The open practice will allow fans to watch the players practice drills and play a controlled scrimmage for free. Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins will also greet fans and other players will join in the entertainment.

This will be the first time for many fans to see Grizzlies stars Ja Morant, Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. on the floor alongside rookie first-round pick Zach Edey. Morant and Edey have already spent time working out together, and Bane and Jackson have done the same.

The FedExForum underwent renovations to the rigging grid and sound system during the offseason. Because of these renovations, the Grizzlies will begin preseason practice in Nashville at Ensworth High School on October 1. Memphis will practice in Nashville for three days.

Memphis will continue its preseason workouts and return to Memphis. After open practice on October 6, the Grizzlies will travel to Dallas to open their preseason game against the Mavericks on October 7. Memphis will play its first home game of the preseason on October 10 against the Charlotte Hornets.
