The star of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is grandfather to his son’s children Sean, River and Maggie
Michael Keaton has played many roles, but one of his favorite roles is that of a grandfather.
The Beetlejuice Actor, 72, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday, August 19, and spoke with host Jimmy Fallon about how his son Sean helped the host with his latest song, “Wrap Me Up.” Fallon then asked Keaton about his two grandchildren, Sean’s children River, 7, and Maggie, 5.
“Sean has a couple of kids. My grandkids. I’m not really crazy about them,” Keaton joked on the show.
“No, yeah. It’s great. I love it. It’s fantastic. It’s so good, I don’t even know where to start. People are sick of hearing about me,” he continued, before launching into his story. “I’m in the car, driving, you know, with the two of them in the back seat. We’re going somewhere… I’m taking them everywhere.”

“And I hear them talking. I hear them talking in the back. And it’s something like, ‘No, he doesn’t.’ I’m not paying attention. I’m driving,” said the Batman said the actor. “They say, ‘Yeah. Look. See?’ And then I hear them say things like, ‘No, no, no, he’s got hair in the back. See?'”
“I swear to God,” Keaton added. “And then he says… I think at first he thought, ‘No, it’s not. It’s white. It’s not hair.’ They’re breaking it down,” he laughed. “‘Dude, I’m right here. I’m right at the front!'”
In April 2023 at CinemaCon 2023 in Las Vegas, director Andy Muschietti IGN that Keaton was overwhelmed with emotion when he was on the set of The Flashwhich marks the first time he has played the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman since 1992 Batman Returns.

“When (Keaton) got on set, the Batcave was already done and lit and everything. He stayed like that for a while (with his eyes wide open). I didn’t want to interrupt him,” the director told the outlet. “I just wanted him to record it. Who knows what was going on there? But there was something going on.”
Muschietti continued, “It was funny because at one point during the scene where we were filming him in the full suit, he said, ‘Can you take a picture? It’s for my grandson.’ It was one of those moments where he really showed that there was something very emotional inside him.”
Keaton also played Batman in Batgirlwhich was cancelled in 2022 even though it was almost finished.
Keaton’s next film, Beetlejuice Beetlejuicewill be released on September 6th. He also plays in Goodrichwhich is scheduled for release on October 18th and stars Mila Kunis.
