Accordingly TMZthe house DJs stayed away from anything that came from Lamar.

And now Michael Rubin reveals that he made that decision. During his appearance on The Breakfast Club, Rubin revealed that it was his decision. “I just didn’t think it was appropriate, so I said, ‘Hey, let’s not play the music of someone who’s at odds with someone,'” Rubin said. “That was my decision. I just didn’t think it was appropriate.”

An evening full of gourmet delights

Guests began arriving at Rubin’s gleaming glass house on the beach around 5 p.m., filmed by paparazzi. Inside, the party took place on several patios and beach tents. Rubin spared no expense on catering, sourcing top-notch food from New York’s finest restaurants. Nobu served Wagyu beef and truffle salt rolls from a hand-rolling station, Cucina Alba offered summery tomato salads, Lucali presented classic Margherita and pepperoni pizzas, and Rao’s delivered its famous meatballs. Shaboozey opened the performances with his hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and joked about his drunkenness. R&B legend Mary J. Blige followed with a powerful rendition of “Be Happy,” and Lil Wayne, impressed by Blige’s performance, warmed up the crowd. As the sun set, a stunning light show lit up the sky, setting the stage for more music.

The festivities continued into the night. After a spectacular fireworks display, the event turned into a high-energy dance party. Musicians from the audience took turns performing on stage, and there were impromptu performances by Alesso, Megan Thee Stallion, Machine Gun Kelly, Bryson Tiller, A$AP Ferg and Travis Scott.
