REDFORD – Mikaela Bannon just won the title of Miss Wayne County 2024 on Sunday, August 11, in Redford, Michigan.

Mikaela Bannon won a $1,075 scholarship for her future use in college.

In addition to the title, other awards she has won include the People’s Choice Award, Miss Congeniality and the On-Stage Interview Award.

In June 2025, she will compete for the title of Miss Michigan in Muskegon. This will be her third trip to compete for the title of Miss Michigan.

She has been actively involved in the Miss America organization since she was 13 years old and decided to compete because she enjoyed having a new experience and meeting new friends. She has had the honor of winning titles such as Miss Sunrise Side’s Teen 2015, Miss Huron Shores’ Teen 2017, and Miss West Michigan’s Teen 2019. She was also the runner-up in the Miss Michigan’s Outstanding Teen Scholarship program in 2019. After being too old for the teen pageant, she won her first Miss title, Miss Shoreline 2020.

“Mikaela has had an incredible journey so far and we are very excited to see where she goes,” said Missy Bannon.
