Press release

MILFORD – Celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month this September with the Milford Public Library and the American Library Association, inviting everyone to discover the incredible resources and opportunities available at your local library by signing up for a library card.

This year they are excited to have Optimus Prime from the Transformers as their special ambassador, highlighting that there is more to the Milford Public Library than meets the eye. Whether you want to improve your skills, find valuable information, or connect with other avid readers, a library card opens up a world of possibilities.

Today’s libraries are vibrant community centers that offer much more than just books. They offer programs for all ages throughout the year. They can download digital books through Libby. They have a wide selection of DVDs and music CDs to borrow.

Want to try a new hobby or learn a new language? Milford Public Library has the resources you need. As part of the Evergreen Indiana consortium, nearly eight million materials are available to 1.5 million Indiana residents. Milford Public Library can borrow the materials you want and have them available for loan here within a week.

Did you know that the Milford Public Library offers cake pans for loan? There is also a free puzzle exchange in the adult section. Bring a completed puzzle and exchange it for one from the Milford Public Library display. There really is something for everyone. Getting a library card is easy and is an important step for students toward academic success and lifelong learning. Everyone should have one.
