Milk bottle design contest helps improve children’s lives – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

By purchasing a bottle of milk from a Texas dairy, you are making a good contribution to supporting child health and helping to improve children’s lives.

Every year, Volleman’s Family Farm in the town of Gustine, Comanche County, hosts a contest where Children’s Health patients can design a milk bottle.

Judges selected five finalists from hundreds of submissions. After all votes were counted, the winner was the red balloon design by 11-year-old patient Citlali. Her red balloon design, the logo for Children’s Health, is now featured on Volleman’s Family Farm milk bottles, which are available in hundreds of grocery stores across Texas.

With every bottle sold, a portion of the proceeds goes to Children’s Health in its mission to make children’s lives better.

“The opportunity to once again partner with Children’s Health and give back to the North Texas community has been a true joy for our family,” said Shelby Volleman, Marketing Director for Volleman’s Family Farm. “We are so excited to have Citlali’s red carboy on the shelves!”

“We are thrilled that Volleman’s Family Farm wants to support our patients and bring joy to the children we serve at Children’s Health, and couldn’t be prouder of Citali’s design on the milk bottle,” said Paulette Mulry, vice president of development for the Children’s Medical Center Foundation. “Thank you to the Volleman family for having hearts as big as Texas – your generosity and support makes a huge difference.”
