Most men are “invisible” on dating apps – this is how you can stand out: Psychologist

It’s a man’s world – except on dating apps.

According to a psychologist, the “overwhelming majority” of men are “invisible” when looking for a partner online, and women only consider a small proportion of men as potential partners.

Dr. Orion Taraban made this claim on the popular podcast “Diary of CEO” before offering tips on how incompetent people can improve to improve their chances.

“Most men are just wallpaper, and the world doesn’t treat men very well when it doesn’t want anything from them,” Taraban explained, saying that young men are particularly disadvantaged.

“It’s actually very difficult being a young man. You don’t have what women or more experienced men want or need, and you’re generally very expendable – and that’s something we’ve seen, unfortunately,” the California-based doctor added. “Young men have a very high mortality rate.”

Taraban argued that women tend to ignore men who appear to have money or certain skills – selling points more commonly attributed to older men.

However, Taraban, author of the new book “The Value of Others: Understanding the Economic Model of Relationships to Get (and Keep) More of What You Want in the Sexual Marketplace,” has some advice for lovesick men looking for a woman.

“I think men can dress better, they can take care of their physical fitness, for some men it’s as basic as hygiene,” he explained, adding that women are also attracted to presentable men on apps.

The psychologist said men should spend some money on a few fashionable outfits to stand out and boost their self-confidence.

“By far the best thing men can do is spend a thousand or two thousand dollars and buy two or three really nice outfits that you can then wear when you go dating,” Taraban says.

“If you’re the best-dressed man in the room, you get a free point,” the expert claimed. “Men just need to put on some clothes and get a better haircut, and for some reason they refuse to do that.”

For men who are not genetically blessed, it is important to appeal to a woman’s psyche, said the psychologist.

He said the sexes have “very different” communication styles – and men should learn to communicate on a woman’s wavelength.

“If you learn to talk to women in a way that makes them listen and respond, you will be able to do anything and have all kinds of relationships,” he explained.

“It’s a lot about the right mood – female communication is very different from male communication.”
