Mustard calls Drake a “weird guy” and doesn’t want to work together

Super producer Mustard is dominating the music scene this summer, making waves with his chart-topping production and long-awaited album release. In early May, Mustard produced Kendrick Lamar’s viral hit “Not like us” – a scathing diss from Drake that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is now nominated for Song of the Year at the VMAs. The track’s commercial and critical success has made it the anthem of 2024.

In July, Mustard made an epic comeback with “The Faith of a Mustard Seed”, his first studio album in over five years. The project, led by singles such as “Parking” with Travis Scott and “A bad decision“” featuring Ella Mai and Roddy Ricch showcases Mustard’s versatility. The album also includes notable collaborations with artists such as BlueBucksClan, Kirk Franklin, Ty Dolla $ign and Quavo and offers a fresh mix of hip-hop, R&B and gospel influences.

However, Mustard has not only made headlines with his music. In a recent interview with Los Angeles Timeshe inflamed the tension by declaring he would never work with Drake, calling him a “weird guy.” This frank statement sparked debate on social media and added another layer of intrigue to their ongoing tensions.

Mustard’s summer takeover is in full swing, and between Kendrick’s record-breaking hit and the release of his bold album, his influence on the music landscape is undeniable.
