My hair fell out and I got bald patches – it destroyed my confidence, but a £6 purchase from Boots that I use once a week saved me

A money-conscious beauty lover has revealed the bargain buy that cured her hair loss and stopped the thinning of her brunette locks.

On average, we lose between 50 and 100 hairs every day, but we usually don’t notice because these strands are usually replaced by new hair.

However, hair loss is something completely different and can be very stressful and have a negative impact on your self-confidence.

There are as many reasons for hair loss as there are products to combat it. However, with so many choices available on the market, it can be difficult to find the right product.

Luckily, beauty expert Victoria Underwood came to her aid with a miracle buy that saved her locks – and you can find the product at your local Boots store for just £6.

The secret deal behind this epic hair transformation is none other than the viral rosemary oil that everyone seems to be talking about right now.

It is claimed to promote hair growth and that is why people are using the natural oil that has caused a stir on the internet to restore their locks after hair loss.

The inexpensive cosmetic purchase “could promote blood circulation and thus prevent hair follicles from being deprived of enough blood, dying and causing hair loss,” Health Line reported.

Some beauty experts use the essential oil not only to stimulate hair growth, but also to prevent premature graying and even combat dandruff.

According to research by Trusted Source, the sensation hyped up on TikTok could “benefit nerve tissue by increasing nerve growth factor” – which in turn could promote hair growth and skin health.

Raving about the affordable treatment, Victoria told her TikTok followers: “Rosemary oil! I’ve struggled with hair loss and thinning hair for so long and it really affected my confidence. This product has changed my life and my hair!”

“Rosemary oil doubled the thickness of my hair!”

The brunette beauty demonstrated how she applied the oil (48ml of Rosemary Oil from Boots costs £6) and said she only used it once a week when washing her locks.

Victoria applied the oil to her dry hair before taking a shower, divided her locks into smaller sections and dripped a few drops of the treatment directly onto her scalp.

The exposure time varies – sometimes it’s just 20 minutes, but on other occasions Victoria lets it work its magic for several hours, she explains in the video.

After the young woman, who claimed to have suffered from hair loss since her teenage years, first purchased the product in January 2022, she used it “once or twice” before forgetting about the essential oil.

Can rosemary oil treat hair loss?

It’s all the rage on social media – but can rosemary oil really treat hair loss?

According to Health Line, “The belief that rosemary oil promotes hair growth may be due to the basic health benefits of rosemary.”

Rosemary essential oil contains compounds that:

  • have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties
  • support wound healing
  • promote nerve growth
  • improve blood circulation.

Research suggests that rosemary essential oil may promote hair growth in some people.

Despite the hype, however, “further research is needed to substantiate this assumption and determine in which cases it is effective and in which it is not.”

Everything changed, however, when a video popped up on her feed of someone showing off the stunning difference in the thickness of their curls, and Victoria decided to try again—this time for real.

“Rosemary oil requires consistent use. You can’t use it once a month, you have to use it regularly.”

In addition to sticking strictly to the rosemary oil routine, the beauty expert also likes to massage her scalp, which is another great way to stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles.

“I am really serious about my hair growth program and am so committed now that I have seen some amazing results.”

“Because thin hair, bald spots and hair loss give you such a great feeling of insecurity.”

“I can’t wait to see what my hair looks like in six months,” says Victoria, who advises against the treatment for extensions as the oil could affect the glue.

“I always needed two thick rows of hair extensions – and at my last hair appointment, my hairdresser and I agreed that I only needed one row of extensions because my hair had gotten so much thicker.”

“I swear by it – (…) and if you are suffering from hair loss and it is affecting you, just give it a try.”
