An CHEAP kitchen ingredient has become a staple in one woman’s knee-length hair care routine.
Zelda confessed that when it comes to hair care, she is not loyal to any other beauty product.
The 23-year-old YouTuber from Savannah, Georgia, has gained over 46,000 subscribers by sharing hair-related ASMR content.
Speaking to The US Sun, she revealed that her curls had grown to almost 1.52 meters long.
INCREDIBLE INGREDIENTS
Zelda admitted that due to the large size of her collection, it is difficult to recommend a specific hair growth product.
“My hair closet consists of at least 50 products, all from different companies and for different purposes,” she said.
“I am not committed to any particular company or product.
“I’m constantly changing the products I use and I love experimenting with new oils and brands.”
She admitted that coconut milk in metal cans was the only product she had used consistently for the past five years.
“It’s not a hair product, it’s a kitchen ingredient,” she said.

“The best variety is unfiltered and from the ‘first pressing’.”
“It doesn’t work for everyone, but for my hair type it seems to be a great moisturizer.”
CUT THIS OUT
Zelda said that supplements can promote hair growth, but she stopped taking them to focus on a healthy diet.
“Supplements for women in particular usually contain a lot of biotin, which is considered an important vitamin for hair, skin and nail growth,” she said.
“I have taken these women’s multivitamins for many years, but these days I try to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into my diet instead of relying on supplements.
“Not only because of my health, but also because of the rising costs.”
SUPERIOR STYLES
Braids are Zelda’s favorite hairstyle for daily protection, but they are not the only method she uses to prevent her hair from breaking.
“When I go shopping, clean or stretch, I put it in my wide headband pocket,” she said.
My preferred everyday protective style is a simple braid, which I usually wear at home.

“Sometimes, if I need something fancy, I’ll wrap it up nicely into a 6-inch claw clip.
“But I do this very sparingly, because hair can easily get caught in the metal springs.”
She loves trendy hairstyles on Instagram, like high ponytails and half up, half down hairstyles, but is careful about how often she wears them.
“I only wear this for the photo shoot and then immediately go back to my tried and tested braid,” she said.
KEEP CLEAN
Zelda previously revealed that it takes her up to 24 hours to wash her knee-length hair.
She untangles her curls the night before washing.
Penetrating oils such as coconut oil are applied one hour before washing to prevent too much water from penetrating the hair shaft.
After washing her hair and applying conditioner, she leaves a care mask on for up to 90 minutes.
Zelda washes her hair again with shampoo, rinses it and waits a few hours for it to air dry.
