BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Wide receiver Myles Price is the 10th Hoosier to be on a preseason award watch list.

Price, a transfer from Texas Tech who is entering his first season at Indiana, was named to the shortlist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award on Wednesday.

This award recognizes the best Division I offensive player who also exhibits the enduring qualities that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community, and tenacity; especially tenacity and determination to overcome adversity and injury to achieve goals. All nominees must meet one or more of the following criteria: Played and graduated from a Texas high school football program and/or is currently playing at a four-year Texas D1 college.

Price attended Colony High School in Texas, where he was named District 5-5A Division I offensive MVP his senior year and District 5-5A Division I overall MVP his penultimate year. He totaled 3,884 all-purpose yards in his career.

The 5’10”, 195-pound wide receiver began his college career with four seasons at Texas Tech, where he appeared in 42 games with 25 starts. Price earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors in 2022 and 2023 and led the Red Raiders in receptions both years.

During his career at Texas Tech, Price caught 161 passes for 1,751 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also recorded 296 punt return yards, 207 rushing yards, 59 kickoff return yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Price transferred to Indiana for his fifth and final college season because he was attracted to coach Curt Cignetti’s offensive philosophy.

“It’s a true pro-style NFL spread offense, so I really wanted to be part of it,” Price said during spring training. “Since I was in college, I’ve been in an air raid offense, and I wanted something different, and this team offers that. That’s really why I decided to come here.”
