Kawhi Leonard made an awkward, hilarious cameo in Drake’s new music video.

He may not have said “what the heck, kid,” but Kawhi Leonard still managed to leave his mark on Toronto’s pop culture once again.

With the new release “Certified Lover Boy”, Drake has also released a new music video for the first single from his sixth album “Way 2 Sexy”. And of course, the Fun Guy himself had to make a cameo appearance.

The entire video is made up of dozens of scenes referencing popular movies, romance novel covers, Jazzercise videos, and more, but the cherry on top is a two-time NBA champion and Finals MVP awkwardly shuffling around on a giant white sand dune in the background.

At first, you don’t notice him in the background, playing a supporting role alongside Drake, Young Thug and Future, but in the middle of a well-choreographed scene that’s strongly reminiscent of the Backstreet Boys’ high points, the trio of artists turn around and point directly at Kawhi to get a close-up of him.

Although the recording was only a few seconds long, Leonard’s confusion and wallflower-like shock at the attention already sparked reactions on Twitter.

Even his NBA colleagues join in the fun.

Leonard recently signed a four-year, $176.3 million contract extension with the Los Angeles Clippers, and his summer is only getting better with a role in a Drake music video.
