Need help getting back to school? Wicomico offers free school supplies and more

Are you ready for the upcoming school year?

Families and friends can prepare together at Fresh Start, a back-to-school event in Wicomico County. Fresh Start will be held on Sunday, August 25, from 1-4 p.m. at the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland.

No registration is required to participate in this free event. Fresh Start is a collaborative effort among numerous Wicomico County organizations, Wicomico County Recreation, Parks and Tourism said in an Aug. 7 news release.

“Every new school year is an opportunity for a fresh start,” said Tara O’Barsky of the Wicomico County Board of Education. “When students and families are equipped with the materials they need and have access to community resources, it can make a big difference in removing potential barriers and improving educational outcomes.”
