New vegan card game aims to bridge the gap with humor – One Green Planet

Help keep One Green Planet free and independent! Together we can ensure our platform remains a hub for promoting ideas that work towards a sustainable, healthy and compassionate world. Please support us in continuing to advance our mission.

The new Plants Against Veganity card game, launched by This Is Not A Game, the world’s first purely vegan board game company, aims to break stereotypes with humor. Founded by vegan activist Rory Cockshaw, the company aims to bring vegans and non-vegans together through playful banter.

In Plants Against Veganity, players use a combination of white prompt cards and green response cards to come up with funny and irreverent phrases about vegans and non-vegans. The aim of the game is to generate laughs while challenging preconceived notions about vegans.

Cockshaw, who founded This Is Not A Game earlier this month, expressed his desire to counter the stereotype that vegans are humorless and difficult to understand, saying he believes making fun of everyone equally can lead to better conversations and a better understanding of different dietary habits.

The game can be purchased online and Cockshaw’s company is already planning more games, including quizzes, children’s games and even a vegan-themed version of Monopoly.
