NFIB members honored at recent Ohio Leadership Council meeting

The Ohio LC met for its quarterly meeting in July.

On July 24, 2024, the NFIB Ohio Leadership Council met for its quarterly meeting. NFIB Ohio Country Director Chris Ferruso recognized several NFIB members for their membership and commitment to small businesses.

“This LC meeting was very special as it was an honor to recognize some of our long-standing members and personally thank them for all they do for the small business community,” said Ferruso“The Ohio office of NFIB is proud to have such dedicated members who support small businesses.”

Fred Horner of Advanced Industrial Roofing in Massillon received a 35-year membership plaque. Advanced Industrial Roofing joined the NFIB in 1989.

Steve Dackin, director of the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, spoke to the group about ways small businesses and educators can collaborate to better align the needs of the economy with educational outcomes and student success.

Steve Bruns of Bruns Construction Enterprises and Bruns Realty Group (NFIB member since 1983) in Tipp City received a plaque of recognition for his six years of service on the Ohio Leadership Council.

Allen Perk of XLN Systems in Gahanna, an NFIB member since 2002, received a plaque of recognition for his 13 years of service on the Ohio Leadership Council.

Doug Johnson of Johnson Electrical Supply in Cincinnati received the 2024 Small Business Champion Award for his outstanding efforts in supporting the NFIB’s mission and advocating for small businesses.
