Zay Jones suspended for five games
Zay Jones has been suspended for the first five games of the 2024 NFL season for violating the NFL’s rules of conduct.
Fantasy influence
While Jones was a reliable player for Trevor Lawrence in 2022, his performance dropped off in 2023 after an injury-plagued season. Jones will miss his first five games as a Cardinal, but he will look to come in as a veteran player on Arizona’s young wide receiver roster. With the arrival of expected superstar Marvin Harrison Jr. and the expected rise of second-year player Michael Wilson, he likely won’t have fantasy relevance in most 12-team leagues.

Drake Maye copes better with adversity
Patriots coach Jerod Mayo said Drake Mayo used to get “depressed” when he intercepted a pass in practice, but is now getting better at dealing with adversity.
Fantasy influence
“He’s done a better job of pulling the nose of the plane up when it looks like it’s going to crash,” Mayo said. It remains a battle of the quarterbacks heading into the final preseason game this weekend between Mayo and Jacoby Brissett.
