With the release of Bridgerton season 3 imminent, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the cast’s social media pages, and we’re getting what we assume is a preview of what’s to come (beauty-wise): the one and only Nicola Coughlan.
While Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton’s love story is at the heart of all conversations about the Netflix hit, we can’t get enough of the hair and makeup. Nicola is a natural blonde, but this week she’s reviving her counterpart’s gorgeous red locks in an 1813 style.
The actress’ makeup artist, Neil Young, shared a snap of her new hair color on Instagram. “NEW HAIR, NEW NIC, NEW LOOK 👀🧡👯♀️,” Neil writes in the caption of his post.
Neil shares details of the transformation and reveals that the genius behind Nicola’s color was actually her long-time colorist Jason Hogan.
Jason has been Nicola’s regular colorist for some time now, maintaining her signature Featherington locks. In early January this year, Jason released a video showing just how much maintenance such a shade requires.
Side note: Red is the hair color that fades the fastest and therefore requires regular touch-ups.
No wonder she’s always sitting in the hairdresser’s chair!
