Try some free games today!

It’s always nice when we can try out a video game for free before spending our hard-earned money, especially when it drastically reduces the chances of us wasting our money, regardless of our platform of choice.

The days of physical demo disks are over many years ago, but today we find ourselves in an ever-evolving digital gaming world. Platforms like the Nintendo eShop offer a wealth of free games that we can play almost instantly.

Check out the Metroid Horror Trailer below!

With that in mind, here are six playable demos that you can download for free now via the Nintendo eShop:

  • Metroid Dread: “An updated version of the free demo of Metroid Dread is now available. Descend into the depths of the planet ZDR in Normal or Rookie mode and get a taste of Samus Aran’s latest mission, culminating in a battle against the giant beast Corpius!”
  • Hyrule Warriors – Age of Calamity: “Play the first chapter of the game either alone or in local two-player mode as Link, Zelda, and Impa. Then you can transfer your save data from the demo to the full game and continue your quest to defeat Calamity Ganon!”
  • Mario Strikers – Battle League Football: “Aim for victory with teamwork, tackles, game-winning items, and score-boosting Hyper Strikes in Mario Strikers: Battle League Football on Nintendo Switch. Do whatever it takes to win in fast-paced local multiplayer, and team up with other players online to become the best club in the world!”
  • Pokémon – Let’s Go Pikachu/Let’s Go Eevee: “Return to the Kanto region and experience a classic Pokémon journey in a whole new way with Pokémon: Let’s Go!”
  • Pokkén Tournament DX: “Take direct control of more than 20 valuable Pokémon fighters and unleash a torrent of powerful attacks in adrenaline-fueled matches! Call on Supporter Pokémon for help, then unleash your Pokémon’s unique Burst Attack as you work your way up the ranks.”
  • Pikmin 4: “Discover a strange new world inhabited by tiny plant-like creatures in Pikmin 4 for Nintendo Switch. Immerse yourself in this floral adventure with the free demo and transfer your progress to the full game.”

So those were just six of many free demos you can play on the Nintendo eShop today. Hopefully you enjoy at least one of the demos above.
