Non-alcoholic bar opens in Chambersburg

Kindred Spirits promotes the Zero Proof Lifestyle from its location at 49 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg.

The company celebrated its grand opening on August 2nd.

Guests can enjoy a selection of handcrafted cocktails, beers and wines, all non-alcoholic. Food is also available for purchase.

Kindred Spirits is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-10pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 4pm-midnight, and Sundays from 1pm-5pm.

The bar is connected to Zero Proof Market, an online marketplace for high-quality non-alcoholic beverages.

Weis Markets opens beer and wine cafe in Chambersburg

Weis Markets, 1056 Wayne Ave., Chambersburg, opened its Beer and Wine Café on August 1.

The café, part of a renovation project that began in the spring, offers 450 beers and 300 wines.

More changes were made at the start of summer, including an expansion of the dairy department, a wider selection of take-away and prepared meals, a larger selection of specialty cheeses, more organic and natural products in the dairy and frozen food departments, and new decor.

To celebrate the completed renovations, Weis Markets donated $500 each to the Chambersburg Area School District Foundation, the Chambersburg Recreation Department and the Chambersburg Police Department.

“With the opening of our Beer and Wine Cafe in our Chambersburg store, we proudly celebrate the culmination of this exciting project,” said Maria Rizzo, vice president of marketing and advertising for Weis Markets, in a press release. “We are excited to offer our customers more convenience and a wider selection, making their shopping experience even more enjoyable throughout the store.”

UPMC Children’s Specialty Services is expanding its range of services and has moved to a new location in Chambersburg. This new location, located at 825 Fifth Ave., Suite 204, offers area residents convenient access to nationally recognized child care.

Trojan Diner celebrates grand reopening

The Cumberland Valley Business Alliance and Trojan Diner and Sports Bar will host a grand opening event on August 23 to celebrate new membership, new menu items and the business’s grand reopening.

The grand opening will take place at 2:15 p.m. at the Trojan Diner, 1121 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg. Food and drinks will be available afterwards.

The event also kicks off the Back to Booze Bash, which runs through Saturday, August 25. There will be a DJ starting at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, face painting, a fire truck and photo opportunities on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily raffles and drink specials. Guests are welcome to stop by, check out the activities and try the Trojan Diner’s new menu.
