The three-part docuseries, based on the book of the same name by Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock, promises to tell the “uncensored story of ’80s hair metal” and will feature some of the era’s biggest artists, including Poison, Def Leppard, Guns N’ Roses, Skid Row, Quiet Riot and WASP.

Although the beginning of the trailer makes sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll seem like a lot of fun, it undoubtedly also explores the pitfalls and tragedies that come with it.

The show includes features and interviews from artists such as Bret Michaels of Poison, Dave “Snake” Sabo of Skid Row, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt, WASP drummer Steve Riley, Tracii Guns of LA Guns, Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Steve-O of Jackass and more.

The series is also directed by Jeff Tremaine, the director of the 2019 Mötley Crüe biopic “The Dirt”.
