OBITUARY: Jeffrey Wayne Stinson – Rutherford Source

Jeffrey Wayne Stinson

Jeffrey Wayne Stinson, 53, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Jeff was born on October 21, 1970 in Nashville.

He graduated from Springfield High School in 1989 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Jeff worked as a transportation salesman and was a member of New Vision Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.

Jeff enjoyed hunting and fishing and was very passionate about sports. He was very active from childhood, playing baseball, football and later tennis for the Yellow Jackets in the state tournament. He loved everything to do with the Tennessee Vols and was their loyal fan.

Before Jeff’s death, his father, Danny Ray Stinson, died.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Patti Bryant Stinson of Murfreesboro, his son and daughter-in-law, First Lieutenants Blake and Hannah Stinson of Smyrna, his daughter, Blair Stinson of Martin, his mother, Robbie Stinson of Springfield, his brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Tara Stinson of Nashville, and his nephews, Landon and Bryce Fritz, both of Nashville.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, August 18th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 18th from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
