Of the over 15,000 campgrounds in the United States, only 11 made the list of best family campgrounds in the USA. Factors such as safety, playgrounds, beautiful views, local attractions, and pet friendliness were considered when deciding which places made the list.

Which campground in Ohio is one of the best in the country?
Austin RV Park and Cabins in Toronto ranks as the 6th best family campground in the country. Just a few hours’ drive from Cincinnati and Columbus, this family-run campground offers cozy log cabins and recreational activities on Austin Lake.
“Water sports and swimming are popular activities on the resort’s 200-acre lake, sandy beach and inflatable obstacle course,” says USA TODAY. Activities are nearly endless, with “hiking trails, bird watching, a large picnic area with shelters, four playgrounds, pedal karts, a tube slide, hayrides and scheduled weekly events.”
