Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day’s insane championship incentives

The Ohio State Buckeyes have one of the best head coaches in college football. Ryan Day has done an excellent job of leading the school and has been one of the best in the business when it comes to recruiting players.

With the 2024 college football season approaching, Day is under a lot of pressure.

There were rumors that Day could lose his job if a few things didn’t go as planned.

While the pressure to win is great, Day also has a huge personal incentive to win. Leading Ohio State to a national championship would provide the elite head coach with a big payday.

By Dan Hope from Eleven WarriorsIf the Buckeyes win the championship in 2024, Day could earn up to $1.55 million in bonuses in addition to his massive $10 million salary.

It goes without saying that such a sum is an enormous incentive to implement an incentive.

Hopefully Day will be celebrating with the money at the end of the season. Ohio State certainly looks like a national championship contender on paper. However, games still need to be played and the Buckeyes have work to do each week.

Day must be very happy with the team he has assembled. He has a top-notch offense and a top-notch defense. There really aren’t any major weaknesses that could worry Ohio State.

Still, nothing is guaranteed. Even though the Buckeyes are arguably the most talented team in the nation, they still have to win games.

It will be interesting to see how the 2024 season plays out. Day has a very good chance of getting the extra money, but he will have to do his best work yet at Ohio State.
