Ohio State Buckeyes receive important schedule update for key game

The No. 2 seed Ohio State Buckeyes will face their first major test of the 2024 season when they travel to Eugene, Oregon, on October 12. The No. 3 seed Oregon Ducks will look to defend their home berth in a key Big Ten Conference clash as the Buckeyes look to avenge a loss to the Ducks from a few seasons ago.

The anticipation for this game is huge and Joel Klatt may have added to the excitement. The FOX college football commentator revealed that this game will be televised by NBC while he is making a guest appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. That means kickoff time should be 7:30 p.m. ET.

Although neither Ohio State, Oregon nor NBC have confirmed this, Klatt is certainly aware of the college football game broadcasts.

If confirmed soon, the Buckeyes will have at least two night games during the regular season. Western Michigan’s game at Ohio Stadium in week two has a confirmed kickoff time of 7:30 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.

There have been rumors recently that Ohio State’s game against Penn State will not be a night game because there is no white-out planned. Whether there will be more night games remains to be seen. So far, only three games have been scheduled, and they are week one, week two, and the final regular season game against Michigan, which will be broadcast on FOX at noon.

This Buckeyes-Ducks clash is building up excitement. Can the October game live up to fans’ expectations?

For Ohio State, a win would be extremely important for their chances of finishing in the top four in the College Football Playoff.
